Exploring the Streets of Chapinero
On countless taxi and bus rides toward Chapinero or Usaquén, I’ve admired stunning graffiti and fascinating buildings. Today, I finally set out to capture them with my camera. Our taxi ride takes us along Avenida Carrera 7 to Calle 54. As soon as we step out, we are surrounded by vibrant murals and colorful buildings. The contrast between old houses and towering modern structures is striking.
We wander through the streets, and for street art lovers, there’s so much to discover. Every corner reveals something new, from bold murals to unexpected artistic details. Eventually, my smartphone battery dies—always a sign that it’s time for a break. A tapas bar sounds like the perfect next stop.
The extreme contrast between old and new architecture makes this neighborhood unique. And for those who love street art, Chapinero is a treasure trove waiting to be explored.
